**Short answer:** Not recordable

No. A sting is work-related when it happens on the job, but over-the-counter medication at nonprescription strength and a cold pack are first aid. An epinephrine injection or a trip to the ER for prescription treatment would change the answer.

## Why

- Only first aid was given. Every treatment you checked is on OSHA's first-aid list. [29 CFR 1904.7(a)](https://www.ecfr.gov/current/title-29/section-1904.7)
