OSHA recordkeeping · 29 CFR 1904
Is a restriction that lasts only the day of the injury OSHA recordable?
No, not for the restriction. You don't record restricted work that is limited to the day the injury happened. If the worker is back to all routine functions the next day and nothing else applies, the case stays off the log.
Why
- Only first aid was given. Every treatment you checked is on OSHA's first-aid list. 29 CFR 1904.7(a)
This answer comes from the same rule-by-rule check used in the HardHat Binder OSHA log, based on the facts described above. Different facts can change the result.
